I haven't sent anything out to 'all' the lists in a long time.
However, if you live in San Francisco or St Augustine, Seattle or

America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, or are
sojourning in Antarctica, Garth Turner's New Book, The
Greater Fool, if not the best, has to be one of the best books
written about the status of real estate in the world. He literally
goes to cities everywhere to point out what is happening.

Oh yes a hint. Go and buy the book. BUT
before you read anything, read the AFTERWORD at the end. These two
pages show that Garth is still a homeowner, but he has bought and is
living in the kind of house which should maintain its value more than
most. He can grow food and it is close to public transportation, etc.,
etc., etc.
If you read the AFTERWORD First, you will not be as terrified by what
you read in the book. However, you 'will' evaluate all
of your holdings and think twice about those Granite Counter tops.

September, you can meet Garth at Tom Allen's MONEY EXPO in Victoria on
Sept 20th at the Convention Centre from 10 AM to 6 PM or in Nanaimo at

For instance, you will find out why you can NOT work on the property
yourself if it is for resale or rental.
On the other hand, if it is just for your own use, you can buy a vacant
lot and build the whole thin yourself.
