Subject: Recommendation

Hello,

I currently subscribe to your centa email. I love the attitude and advice presented in the emails. My wife and I are currently looking for an agressive account to work with us. However, we live in Edmonton, Alberta and would feel more comfortable with someone in this city. Could you recommend someone in Edmonton that shares your views on taxation?

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks,

I wish I could name someone but I have no associations left in Edmonton.  I will put this on the list and see if someone wants to suggest a down to earth accountant in Edmonton.

What I do intend to do this next year is establish a  group of offices around the world and across North America.  The purpose of the offices would be to specialize in Americans out of the country tax returns.  The offices would take the material in, scan it and email it to us in West Vancouver where we would prepare the return and return it.

In many cases, we would just phone the client and do the return over the phone.  we already do about thee hundred that way now.

Even in the US, it is a valuable service to accountants.  An out of country tax return is a specialist document.  So if an accountant in Pocatello, Idaho only has two people that year, he or she will spend thirty or forty hours on a three hour return and likely not get it right.  Far more sensible to send it to an office with six or seven full time US out of country specialists.

So again, if anyone knows of a good accountant in Edmonton, let me know and I will pass on the information and if anyone wants to join our network, let me know as well.
